Yesterday was the shortest day of the year; that means that, 1. the days only get longer from here on in, which is perfect and 2. it’s pretty darn cold. I bought my last vintage fur for a long time (from a charity shop, Rathmines) and teamed it with animal print and messed up hair to create a “morning after” look. I really love it when hair just looks that little bit undone, plus it suits leopard print almost as much as Rod Stewart’s leggings!

You can’t beat a femme fatale, think Bridget Fonda in The Assassin. That’s what I feel like in these driving gloves and short-sleeved jumper. I put them on to winter-up this floral skirt but I like how they kind of reflects the mock-stocking tights by showing a bit of skin. Plus I love that wearing florals in seasons other than spring / summer is now common place, layering is key ya’ll.

The D&G AW09 runway was full of shirts and skirts in strong shapes, rich fabrics and deep colours. There were also vintage elements and edgy accessories to even out such a feminine collection. I loved the lantern skirts and dresses and blouses with pretty puffed sleeves. I’m wearing a purple satin effect dress teamed with a vintage feather-topped hat, leopard print tights and studded ankle boots to give the look some edge.
